The Basel Accord Dictionary:
As a result of its efforts to facilitate the imparting of knowledge to bankers and university students, the Union of Arab Banks has prepared a comprehensive Dictionary that is specific to terms and acronyms related to the Basel Accord. This Dictionary was prepared in order to strengthen and develop banking activities in the Arab region and to comply with international banking regulations.
This specialized and contemporary Dictionary contains terms related to Basel rules and regulations that are currently spreading within the banking community; the Basel Accord Dictionary aims to fill a gap in this field and includes definitions for more than 350 terms that are found in the Basel Accord. In addition to definitions of banking terminology used within the banking community, this Dictionary includes terms that are specific to the application of Basel Accord. These terms are originally published in English and the Dictionary presents their corresponding Arabic and French definitions in order to help understanding these terms accurately, which makes this extensive Dictionary an essential reference for everyone working in banking.
As we present this Dictionary to every Arab banker, we hope that we had achieved our goal, and that it will serve as a valuable and enriching addition to the library of Arab banking institutions.
This Dictionary will be available to banking, financial, economic, cultural, and legal institutions as well as to all other interested stakeholders through its website and application.

تعريف قاموس المصطلحات الخاصة بمقررات بازل :
في إطار استراتيجيته التثقيفية من جهة والعمل على تسهيل نقل المعرفة الى كل مصرف ومصرفي وطالب جامعي من جهة أخرى ، أقدم اتحاد المصارف العربية على إنشاء قاموس المصطلحات الخاصة بمقررات بازل لتعزيز وتطوير النشاط المصرفي في العالم العربي وبهدف الالتزام بالقوانين والمقررات المصرفية الدولية.
يتضمن هذا القاموس المتخصص والعصري أحدث المصطلحات المتداولة حالياً في الأوساط المصرفية ، ويهدف الى سد فراغ واضح في هذا المجال. يشتمل على أكثر من 350 مصطلحاً في مجال التطبيقات الخاصة بمقررات بازل. وبالإضافة إلى المصطلحات المصرفية المستخدمة في أوساط البنوك، يشتمل القاموس أيضاً على المصطلحات الخاصة في مجال التطبيقات الخاصة بمقررات بازل المستخدمة باللغة الإنكليزية وما يقابلها في اللغتين العربية والفرنسية لمساعدة المصرفيين على فهمها وإستخدامها بشكل صحيح، وهو ما يجعل من هذا القاموس مرجعاً لا غنى عنه لجميع المعنيين بهذا المجال من مختلف الفئات.
إن هذا المرجع العلمي تطلب الكثير من الجهود لإنجازه، حيث تم استخراج المفاهيم والمصطلحات من المراجع الحديثة والدقيقة المتعلقة بمقررات بازل، وتم العمل على ترجمتها وصياغتها بطريقة علمية حيث تم التركيز على التعريفات والمصطلحات الأكثر إستخداماً في مجال النشاط المصرفي.
وإننا إذ نضع هذا القاموس بين يدي المصرفي ، نأمل أن نكون قد وفقنا في ما هدفنا إليه ، وأن يشكل إضافة مفيدة الى المكتبة المصرفية العربية.
وسوف يكون هذا القاموس متاحاً للجميع ، من مؤسسات مصرفية ومالية وإقتصادية وثقافية وقانونية وغيرها من الجهات ، على الموقع الإلكتروني والتطبيق الخاص بهذا القاموس.
